Position summary

The Social Media Manager will build a consistent, useful social presence for LSO Media Group and coordinate approved campaigns with its individual brands. Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing, you will translate company announcements, programming priorities and commercial messages into content suited to each selected platform. You will distinguish corporate communications from the voices of Luigi Scarcelli Official, NEWS NEXT, Connection TV and OPTiMIST PICTURES.

This is a planning, publishing and community management role that combines editorial judgment with dependable execution. You will maintain a calendar, prepare concise copy, brief creative contributors and ensure every post has the necessary approvals and rights. You will also monitor audience questions and performance, responding within agreed guidelines and routing sensitive matters to the appropriate owner. Announcements for forthcoming products will follow confirmed development and launch milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a social calendar that coordinates corporate announcements, brand priorities and approved campaign commitments.
  • Write and adapt posts for the purpose, audience and format of each selected channel while maintaining accurate brand identification.
  • Brief creative contributors on required formats, accessibility elements, deadlines and approved messages.
  • Check links, tagging, rights, captions and approvals before scheduling or publishing content.
  • Monitor comments and direct inquiries, respond within agreed guidelines and escalate complaints, media questions or sensitive issues.
  • Coordinate publishing with brand teams so corporate and brand channels support the same campaign without unnecessary repetition.
  • Report on engagement quality, audience growth and referral activity, distinguishing useful outcomes from surface-level counts.
  • Maintain publishing access records and a documented handover process for planned absences or urgent updates.

Required qualifications

  • At least three years of professional social media management, including direct responsibility for publishing and community responses.
  • Strong short-form writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different brands and audiences.
  • Experience maintaining content calendars, reviewing creative assets and coordinating approval deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret platform reporting and explain performance without relying solely on follower or impression totals.
  • Sound judgment with public comments and sensitive information; a relevant degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience supporting media, entertainment or business-to-business brands.
  • Experience creating accessible social content, including useful captions and image descriptions.
  • Experience coordinating multi-brand campaigns or preparing community response guidelines.

Measures of success

  • Social content is accurate, accessible and published in line with the approved calendar.
  • Audience questions receive consistent responses or timely escalation.
  • Corporate and brand channels maintain distinct voices and coordinated priorities.
  • Reporting identifies content and conversations that contribute to agreed audience or commercial goals.

First 90 days

During the first 90 days, review current channels, audiences, access arrangements and publishing practices. Establish a realistic calendar, an approval checklist and a response guide with communications colleagues. Deliver an initial cycle of approved posts, evaluate the quality of audience response and test a small number of content approaches. Present recommendations for channel priorities and sustainable publishing frequency.

Compensation

Proposed annual base salary of $65,000–$90,000 USD. The final offer will reflect relevant experience, qualifications and the agreed scope of the position, subject to approval. This range covers base pay only; any incentive compensation or benefits would be specified separately in an employment offer.

What to include in your application

Include nonconfidential examples of social channels or campaigns you managed. Explain your contribution to copy, publishing and community responses, and describe what the performance evidence taught you.
