Position summary
LSO Media Group is seeking a Sales Operations Manager to bring consistent information and practical process support to its commercial teams. Reporting to Samantha Phillips, President of Sales, you will manage pipeline definitions, CRM data quality, sales reporting and the operating cadence behind account planning. Your work will support media advertising and other approved commercial activity, with processes for forthcoming software products established as their sales plans take shape.
You will connect sales, Finance, Legal, marketing and delivery teams so commitments can be understood and fulfilled. This requires attention to details such as ownership, quote versions, approval records and billing handoffs, as well as the ability to explain a forecast clearly. You will improve the process where it causes delays or unreliable reporting and introduce automation only when it has a defined owner, appropriate access and a clear exception path.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain sales stages, required CRM fields, account ownership rules and opportunity hygiene expectations.
- Prepare pipeline and forecast reports that expose assumptions, aging opportunities, gaps and changes between reporting periods.
- Coordinate quote, pricing and commercial approval workflows with sales leadership, Finance and Legal.
- Maintain sales process documentation and train colleagues on practical, consistent use of the CRM.
- Establish handoff requirements between marketing, sales, delivery and billing, tracking unresolved information gaps.
- Analyze sales activity and conversion patterns to identify bottlenecks and recommend specific process improvements.
- Manage approved CRM changes and integrations with technical owners, testing permissions, data quality and exception handling.
- Prepare reporting and process requirements for future product sales in coordination with product and commercial leaders.
Required qualifications
- At least four years of sales operations, revenue operations or comparable commercial process experience.
- Hands-on experience administering or improving a CRM and maintaining consistent sales data.
- Strong spreadsheet and reporting skills, including the ability to reconcile different sources and explain forecast assumptions.
- Experience coordinating quote approvals, sales handoffs or billing-related process requirements.
- Clear documentation and stakeholder-management skills; a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience supporting both media services and recurring software sales models.
- Experience with CRM integrations, workflow automation or data migration.
- Experience developing sales enablement materials and leading process adoption in a growing team.
Measures of success
- Leadership can trace forecasts to current opportunity records and explicit assumptions.
- Sales records and approval histories are complete enough to support reliable delivery and billing.
- Teams use a consistent process with fewer avoidable handoff delays.
- Process improvements reduce recurring data or workflow problems without adding unnecessary work.
First 90 days
During the first 90 days, review CRM records, pipeline definitions, reporting needs and the path from inquiry to billing. Reconcile a baseline pipeline with sales leaders and identify the most consequential data gaps. Introduce agreed stage definitions, a forecast review and a complete handoff checklist. Deliver one focused process improvement and outline the additional requirements for forthcoming software sales.
Compensation
Proposed annual base salary of $90,000–$120,000 USD. The final offer will reflect relevant experience, qualifications and the agreed scope of the position, subject to approval. This range covers base pay only; any incentive compensation or benefits would be specified separately in an employment offer.
What to include in your application
Provide a nonconfidential example of a sales process or CRM improvement you led. Describe the original problem, the changes, how you measured adoption and the effect on reporting or customer handoffs.
