Position summary
The Programming & Scheduling Coordinator will organize the scheduling information and content readiness checks behind LSO Media Group’s approved programming distribution. Reporting to the Director of Content Distribution, you will work with brand, licensing, streaming and technical colleagues to maintain clear schedules for the relevant outlets. You will confirm that each item has the necessary timing, metadata, rights status and delivery information before it is included in an approved schedule.
This role rewards accuracy, anticipation and clear handoffs. You will track changes, identify missing materials and help resolve conflicts before they affect an audience or partner. You will maintain versioned schedules and dependable records of decisions, ensuring that last-minute changes reach the people who need them. Editorial and programming selections remain with the responsible brand leaders; your role is to make their approved plans operationally complete and easy to follow.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain draft schedules using approved programming selections, outlet requirements and available content records.
- Confirm durations, titles, episode identifiers, descriptions, captions and other required metadata before schedule approval.
- Check that rights status and permitted release windows have been confirmed by the licensing owner.
- Track missing media, artwork, metadata or approvals and follow up with the responsible contributor before delivery deadlines.
- Identify overlaps, gaps and timing conflicts, preparing practical options for the programming or distribution owner.
- Distribute approved schedule versions and communicate changes clearly to operations, partners and relevant brand teams.
- Reconcile planned schedules with available delivery or playback records and document exceptions for review.
- Maintain scheduling templates, decision records and handover notes that make recurring programming cycles easier to manage.
Required qualifications
- At least one year of scheduling, media coordination, operations administration or comparable detail-intensive experience.
- Strong accuracy with dates, durations, identifiers and structured records.
- Ability to maintain spreadsheets or scheduling tools and track changing versions of a plan.
- Experience coordinating deadlines and following up on missing information across several contributors.
- Clear written communication and practical organizational skills; relevant training or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with television schedules, streaming catalogs, electronic program guides or media asset records.
- Familiarity with content rights windows, caption files or technical delivery checklists.
- Experience improving templates or administrative workflows for a media or entertainment team.
Measures of success
- Approved schedules are accurate, current and supported by complete readiness information.
- Missing materials and timing conflicts are surfaced early enough to resolve.
- Schedule changes reach all affected owners with a clear record of the approved version.
- Delivery exceptions are documented and inform improvements to the next scheduling cycle.
First 90 days
During the first 90 days, learn the outlet requirements, programming approval process and scheduling tools. Build a reference for required metadata and readiness checks, then prepare a complete scheduling cycle under review. Track missing materials and changes, reconcile the final plan with available delivery records and identify recurring gaps. Propose a small set of template or handoff improvements with the distribution director.
Compensation
Proposed annual base salary of $55,000–$75,000 USD. The final offer will reflect relevant experience, qualifications and the agreed scope of the position, subject to approval. This range covers base pay only; any incentive compensation or benefits would be specified separately in an employment offer.
What to include in your application
Describe a nonconfidential example of a schedule or coordinated project you maintained. Explain how you tracked changes, caught an error or missing item and kept the affected people informed.
