Position summary
LSO Media Group is seeking a President of Consumer Services to lead its Credit & Financial Counseling, Consumer Goods Procurement and Hospitality divisions. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will directly manage the Vice President responsible for each division. You will turn the group’s priorities into a coordinated operating agenda, assess where investment is needed and hold division leaders accountable for financial performance, service quality and delivery.
This role combines oversight of three distinct businesses with practical executive leadership. The Vice Presidents will lead their divisions’ daily execution, while you will set shared expectations, resolve competing priorities and bring major decisions to the CEO with clear evidence. You will work with Finance, Legal, People & Culture and corporate operations to build capable teams, improve operating discipline and support growth suited to each division’s customers and business model.
Responsibilities
- Set the Consumer Services strategy and annual operating plan with the CEO, translating group priorities into clear objectives for all three divisions.
- Recruit, lead and develop the three division Vice Presidents, defining their responsibilities, decision authorities and performance expectations.
- Own the combined Consumer Services financial and operating results, reviewing divisional revenue, margins, cash requirements and service performance with Finance.
- Review division budgets, forecasts and capital requests, recommend how resources should be allocated and escalate commitments that require corporate approval.
- Establish a regular operating review with the Vice Presidents, requiring clear explanations of variances, corrective actions and decisions needed.
- Set service and quality expectations appropriate to each business, covering client counseling, supplier and fulfillment performance, and hospitality guest experience.
- Identify practical opportunities to share systems, purchasing or corporate support while respecting the different operating needs of the three divisions.
- Evaluate growth, partnership and acquisition proposals with Corporate Development, Finance and Legal, and assign accountable owners for approved integration work.
- Oversee leadership development, succession and capacity planning with People & Culture, ensuring expansion plans match the teams and resources available.
- Maintain clear escalation of material operational, financial and service risks, and present the CEO with timely performance reports and recommendations.
Required qualifications
- Substantial senior operating leadership experience, typically twelve or more years, including direct management of experienced business or division leaders.
- Demonstrated accountability for a multi-business, multi-location or substantial divisional profit and loss statement.
- Experience translating strategy into budgets, staffing plans and measurable operating improvements, with evidence of sustained execution.
- Strong financial judgment, including the ability to assess forecasts, working capital, investment proposals and competing resource needs.
- Experience leading customer-facing businesses and improving service quality while maintaining commercial discipline.
- Clear executive communication and sound judgment when working with finance, legal and people specialists; a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Leadership experience in one or more of hospitality, consumer goods procurement, credit counseling, financial education or related consumer services.
- Experience overseeing a diversified portfolio and establishing effective relationships between division leaders and shared corporate functions.
- Experience integrating acquisitions, developing leadership teams or improving the performance of growing businesses.
Measures of success
- Each division has an accountable Vice President, a credible operating plan and clear financial and service objectives.
- Consumer Services performance is understood across divisions, with reliable forecasts and timely action on material variances.
- Investment and growth decisions reflect customer needs, financial evidence and the capacity to execute.
- Division leaders receive clear direction and effective support, with material risks and unresolved decisions reaching the CEO promptly.
First 90 days
Review the three divisions’ approved scope, financial plans, service practices and leadership needs with the CEO and corporate partners. Agree on the hiring sequence and decision authorities for the Vice Presidents. Establish a common operating review, assess the most pressing service and investment priorities, and present a Consumer Services plan with divisional objectives, resource recommendations, accountable owners and a clear timetable for the first improvements.
Compensation
The annual compensation package starts at a minimum of $335,725 USD. The final amount, structure and terms of the package will be negotiated with the selected candidate and set out in the employment offer.
