Position summary

The Logistics & Fulfillment Coordinator keeps the details of consumer goods orders moving between suppliers, service providers and the people responsible for customer delivery. Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will maintain shipment information, check documents and follow up on exceptions. The role requires dependable organization and the judgment to distinguish a routine status update from an issue that could change a delivery commitment.

You will coordinate with whichever storage, transport or fulfillment providers are approved for the division's operating model. This posting does not assume a particular warehouse or distribution network. Working with inventory planning and supplier quality colleagues, you will help build a repeatable order-to-delivery process, maintain accurate records and keep customers' information within authorized systems.

Responsibilities

  • Track approved purchase and customer orders from scheduled dispatch through delivery confirmation.
  • Coordinate shipment bookings and documentation with authorized suppliers, carriers and fulfillment providers.
  • Check quantities, addresses, delivery instructions and supporting records before handing orders to the next party.
  • Monitor shipment milestones and escalate delays, missing goods or documentation gaps with clear facts and next actions.
  • Reconcile received quantities and proof of delivery with purchasing and inventory records.
  • Coordinate approved returns and damaged-goods cases with supplier quality and sourcing colleagues.
  • Review freight invoices and delivery charges against bookings, routing discrepancies to the responsible approver.
  • Maintain an accessible shipment log and prepare concise service reports showing recurring causes of delay or error.

Required qualifications

  • Experience in logistics coordination, order administration, fulfillment support or a related role.
  • Ability to maintain accurate transaction records and handle several orders with different deadlines.
  • Comfort using spreadsheets, order systems and written status updates.
  • Clear communication with suppliers and service providers, including persistent follow-up on unresolved issues.
  • Care with customer information and the ability to work within approved purchasing and delivery procedures.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with consumer goods shipping, returns or inventory reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with carrier portals and shipment tracking tools.
  • Experience documenting a repeatable order or fulfillment workflow.

Measures of success

  • Order and shipment records remain complete, accurate and current.
  • Delivery exceptions reach the right owner before avoidable delays grow.
  • Returns, freight discrepancies and missing confirmations are followed through to resolution.

First 90 days

Learn the division's approved order flow, service providers and escalation contacts. Review the completeness of available shipment and delivery records, then establish a shared status log and document checklist. Coordinate initial assignments under the sourcing manager's guidance, identify repeat handoff problems, and propose practical improvements to order accuracy and exception follow-up.

Compensation

Proposed annual base salary of $50,000–$68,000 USD. The final offer will reflect relevant experience, qualifications and the agreed scope of the position, subject to approval. This range covers base pay only; any incentive compensation or benefits would be specified separately in an employment offer.

What to include in your application

Describe how you organized a busy order or shipment workload and handled a delivery exception. Include the systems or records you used without sharing customer information.
