Position summary

The Learning & Development Manager will build training around the work employees need to perform. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, you will assess learning needs with managers and design useful experiences for a mix of media, commercial, technical and corporate teams. Initial priorities will be shaped by the hiring plan and the skills needed to operate developing business lines.

You will work with subject-matter experts to turn complex information into clear instruction, practice and reference materials. The role includes helping teams use approved AI tools responsibly in their actual workflows, without treating tool adoption as an end in itself. Success means employees can apply what they learn and managers can see where further support is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assess training needs through manager discussions, workflow observation and review of recurring performance gaps.
  • Design role-based onboarding paths with clear learning objectives and practical completion evidence.
  • Develop manager training covering feedback, delegation, documentation and the company’s approved people processes.
  • Partner with internal specialists to build understandable product, systems and operational training materials.
  • Create instruction for approved AI workflows, including verification, data handling and human review expectations.
  • Facilitate workshops and practice sessions that allow participants to apply skills to realistic tasks.
  • Maintain training materials, ownership and review dates as products and procedures change.
  • Evaluate learning through observed application and manager feedback, then revise ineffective content.

Required qualifications

  • Experience designing and delivering professional learning, enablement or organizational development programs.
  • Ability to translate subject-matter expertise into clear objectives, practice activities and reference materials.
  • Strong facilitation skills with both new employees and experienced managers.
  • Experience evaluating whether learning changes workplace behavior or task performance.
  • Organized project delivery and clear writing for audiences with different technical backgrounds.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience supporting software, media or other rapidly changing operating environments.
  • Familiarity with learning platforms and accessible digital learning formats.
  • Experience teaching practical AI tool use or developing manager onboarding programs.

Measures of success

  • Priority learning programs address specific tasks and observed capability gaps.
  • Managers can assess whether participants apply the material in their work.
  • New employees have a clear path to required knowledge and useful reference materials.
  • Training content has an owner and stays aligned with approved operating procedures.

First 90 days

Meet hiring managers and subject-matter experts to identify the first learning priorities. Review available materials, design a focused onboarding or manager-training pilot and agree how practical application will be assessed. Deliver the pilot, collect participant and manager evidence, and use the results to establish the next program sequence and content maintenance responsibilities.

Compensation

Proposed annual base salary of $85,000–$115,000 USD. The final offer will reflect relevant experience, qualifications and the agreed scope of the position, subject to approval. This range covers base pay only; any incentive compensation or benefits would be specified separately in an employment offer.

What to include in your application

Describe a learning program you designed, the task or behavior it addressed and how you evaluated application after training. Nonconfidential sample materials are welcome.
