Position summary

The Vice President, Hospitality leads the strategy and operating performance of LSO Media Group’s hospitality division. Reporting to the President of Consumer Services, this executive sets divisional priorities and oversees operating-company leaders, aligning financial plans, service standards and investment decisions with the group’s objectives. The position requires an experienced hospitality operator who understands how service quality, people, capacity and cost affect business performance.

The executive is accountable for divisional profit-and-loss performance and for helping each business deliver a consistent, commercially sustainable guest experience. Working with corporate Finance, Human Resources, Legal and Operations, the role establishes clear expectations, evaluates results and directs corrective action. Responsibilities cover the hospitality businesses within the division, with operating approaches adapted to each company’s services, customers and business model.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the divisional strategy and annual operating plan, setting achievable commercial, service and financial priorities for approval by the President of Consumer Services.
  • Oversee operating-company leaders, establish performance expectations and review progress while maintaining clear accountability for local execution.
  • Own divisional profit-and-loss performance; work with Finance on budgets, forecasts, cash requirements and corrective action when results diverge from plan.
  • Evaluate guest feedback, service reliability and repeat business to identify improvements appropriate to each company’s hospitality offering.
  • Set practical quality standards and review operating performance without imposing identical processes on businesses with different service models.
  • Guide workforce planning, leadership development and succession with company leaders and Human Resources, aligning staffing capacity with demand.
  • Review significant vendor relationships and procurement opportunities, balancing cost, service quality, supply reliability and contractual commitments.
  • Prioritize capital requests with Finance, assessing operating needs, guest impact, expected returns and implementation capacity before recommending investment.
  • Coordinate with qualified Legal, Human Resources and operational specialists on safety, employment requirements and other obligations relevant to each business.
  • Lead divisional execution of approved growth and acquisition-integration plans, setting milestones and ensuring operating readiness and continuity.
  • Report clearly to the President of Consumer Services on divisional results, emerging risks, investment trade-offs and decisions requiring corporate approval.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least ten years of progressive experience in hospitality operations, including responsibility for service delivery and commercial performance.
  • At least five years of senior leadership experience overseeing multiple hospitality units, businesses or comparable operating teams.
  • Demonstrated accountability for profit-and-loss performance, budgets, forecasts and operational improvement with measurable results.
  • Experience developing operating leaders, planning workforce needs and improving service quality across a distributed organization.
  • Sound investment and operating judgment, clear executive communication and effective collaboration with Finance, Human Resources and Legal.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience across more than one hospitality business model or within a diversified ownership group.
  • Experience integrating acquired businesses or leading a significant hospitality expansion or operational turnaround.
  • Experience evaluating capital projects, vendor portfolios and changes to shared-service arrangements.

Measures of success

  • Divisional financial results are understood, forecast accurately and supported by accountable operating plans.
  • Guest experience and service-quality measures improve against agreed baselines.
  • Operating leaders have clear responsibilities, appropriate support and credible succession plans.
  • Approved investments and growth initiatives meet agreed financial and operational milestones.

First 90 days

Meet company leaders and corporate partners, review financial and service performance and understand each business’s operating model. Assess leadership capacity, major vendor dependencies and planned investments. Agree on divisional priorities with the President of Consumer Services, establish performance reviews and launch initial improvements with named owners and measurable outcomes.

Compensation
