Position summary
LSO Media Group is seeking a Director of Brand Marketing to establish a coordinated marketing program across its corporate identity, media portfolio and developing business interests. Reporting to Samantha Phillips, President of Sales, you will set priorities, allocate approved marketing resources and help each brand explain its value clearly. The portfolio includes Luigi Scarcelli Official, NEWS NEXT, Connection TV and OPTiMIST PICTURES, each with its own audience and purpose.
You will bring structure to campaign planning, audience research, creative review and measurement while preserving the identities of individual brands. As LSO Workplace and LSO Playout progress toward launch, you will work with product leaders on positioning grounded in verified capabilities and customer needs. This role combines strategic direction with practical execution: writing a useful brief, reviewing a campaign, resolving a competing deadline and explaining what the results mean for the next decision.
Responsibilities
- Develop an annual marketing plan with clear audience segments, campaign priorities, proposed budgets and owners for each major initiative.
- Translate corporate and brand strategies into positioning, messaging and creative briefs that teams can apply consistently.
- Coordinate marketing, communications, digital, social, research and creative project work through a shared planning and review process.
- Set brand standards and approval responsibilities while allowing the media brands to maintain appropriate editorial and creative identities.
- Work with sales on campaign materials and qualified inquiries, defining what constitutes a useful handoff and how its outcome is measured.
- Develop launch marketing plans for LSO Workplace and LSO Playout in step with product readiness, avoiding promises that outpace development.
- Review audience and campaign evidence, including attribution limits, and recommend changes to spending, content and channel selection.
- Manage approved vendors and marketing resources, maintaining schedules, spending controls and a clear record of decisions.
Required qualifications
- At least seven years of brand or marketing experience, including responsibility for a team, program or substantial multi-channel campaign.
- Experience managing distinct brands or customer segments without reducing them to a single generic message.
- Ability to develop positioning, write clear briefs and evaluate creative work against business and audience objectives.
- Experience setting budgets and interpreting campaign performance, with an understanding of measurement and attribution limitations.
- Strong stakeholder management and written communication; a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in media, entertainment, business software or a diversified organization.
- Experience preparing a new product for launch through customer research and staged marketing activity.
- Experience establishing brand governance and working with editorial, legal and commercial stakeholders.
Measures of success
- Brand and corporate marketing plans have clear priorities, accountable owners and realistic resource requirements.
- Campaign messages accurately reflect each brand or product and are supported by evidence.
- Marketing activity produces useful audience learning and qualified commercial opportunities against agreed goals.
- Teams deliver approved work on time and can explain how results changed the next campaign.
First 90 days
During the first 90 days, review current brand materials, channels, audience evidence and commercial priorities with Samantha Phillips and the brand leaders. Establish a shared campaign calendar, approval map and baseline performance report. Select a small number of priority campaigns, agree their budgets and success measures, and develop an initial positioning brief for each forthcoming software product with its director. Present a focused marketing plan based on the findings.
Compensation
Proposed annual base salary of $115,000–$155,000 USD. The final offer will reflect relevant experience, qualifications and the agreed scope of the position, subject to approval. This range covers base pay only; any incentive compensation or benefits would be specified separately in an employment offer.
What to include in your application
Include a nonconfidential example of a brand or campaign program you led. Explain the audience, your budget and team responsibilities, how you judged performance and a decision you changed after reviewing results.
