Position summary

LSO Media Group is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to help its legal function maintain accurate records, coordinate recurring work, and prepare complete materials for attorney review. This full-time position reports to the Chief Legal Officer and supports corporate, commercial, and transaction matters across a diversified portfolio. The work requires close attention to detail, a dependable approach to deadlines, and the confidence to ask for clarification when instructions or supporting information are incomplete.

You will help maintain entity records, organize contracts and legal files, support diligence requests, and keep document and deadline systems current. You will work under attorney supervision and coordinate with colleagues to collect information, route documents, and track completion. The role does not provide independent legal advice or make legal determinations. It provides the organized, accurate support that allows attorneys and business teams to act on complete information.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain corporate records, entity files, ownership documentation, and approved governance materials in accordance with attorney instructions and established retention practices.
  • Prepare initial drafts of routine resolutions, consents, certificates, and other corporate documents using approved forms for attorney review.
  • Coordinate entity maintenance and filing tasks, collecting required information and tracking submissions, confirmations, fees, and upcoming deadlines.
  • Organize contract records, verify that executed versions and related documents are complete, and record key dates and administrative information as directed.
  • Support transaction diligence by assembling requested records, maintaining document indexes, tracking outstanding requests, and organizing closing materials.
  • Conduct legal and factual research under attorney supervision, record sources accurately, and present findings for attorney assessment.
  • Prepare signature packets and coordinate document routing through established review and approval processes, checking that final versions match approved instructions.
  • Maintain legal calendars, matter lists, and deadline reminders, promptly flagging missing information, approaching due dates, and inconsistencies in records.
  • Assist with information collection for disputes, claims, rights inquiries, and other legal matters, following attorney directions for preservation and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate administrative communication with internal colleagues, outside counsel, and service providers, keeping matter files and progress records up to date.

Required qualifications

  • At least three years of relevant paralegal experience supporting corporate or commercial legal work in a law firm, an in-house legal department, or both.
  • A paralegal certificate, relevant degree, or equivalent combination of education and practical experience supporting attorney-directed legal work.
  • Experience maintaining corporate records, organizing contracts, or supporting business transactions with accurate document control.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, research, and administrative skills, including the ability to identify incomplete records and reconcile conflicting versions.
  • Proficiency with document preparation, spreadsheets, shared file systems, and electronic signature workflows, with the ability to learn additional systems.
  • Sound judgment about confidentiality, clear communication, and an understanding of when a question requires attorney review or direction.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience supporting multiple corporate entities, annual filing calendars, governance records, or acquisition closing checklists.
  • Experience using contract management, entity management, legal matter tracking, or secure diligence document systems.
  • Familiarity with records and agreements used in media, entertainment, intellectual property, or a diversified business group.

Measures of success

  • Corporate and contract records are complete, consistently organized, and accessible to authorized colleagues.
  • Legal deadlines have clear reminders and status records, with missing information raised early enough to address.
  • Attorneys receive accurate drafts, research materials, and document sets that are ready for substantive review.
  • Signature, filing, and diligence tasks move through the required steps with a reliable record of completion.

First 90 days

During your first 90 days, you will learn the portfolio's entity structure, the legal team's document standards, and the systems used for contracts and matter tracking. Under the Chief Legal Officer's direction, you will review assigned records for completeness, establish a dependable deadline calendar, and organize priority files. You will also agree on routine status updates and escalation practices so colleagues know what is outstanding and what requires attorney attention.

Compensation

Proposed annual base salary of $60,000–$80,000 USD. The final offer will reflect relevant experience, qualifications and the agreed scope of the position, subject to approval. This range covers base pay only; any incentive compensation or benefits would be specified separately in an employment offer.
