Technology policy
LSO Media Group may use artificial intelligence in production, research, accessibility, administrative, and creative-assistance workflows. AI does not replace accountable human editorial or business judgment. A designated human producer, editor, or business owner remains responsible for every public use.
We do not use AI to deceptively impersonate a person or imply that someone spoke, acted, or endorsed something they did not.
A realistic synthetic voice, face, or likeness requires documented authority and informed consent, unless a lawful editorial, documentary, satirical, or other protected use has received heightened editorial and legal review.
Permissions should identify the purpose, media, duration, territory, editing, compensation, model or data reuse, sublicensing, and termination terms appropriate to the project.
Additional safeguards apply to minors, confidential sources, private individuals, and sensitive subject matter.
Material entered into an AI system must be owned, properly licensed for the intended use, in the public domain, or approved after documented rights review. Internet availability does not by itself establish permission.
LSO-controlled datasets, retrieval systems, training, or fine-tuning must maintain appropriate provenance and rights records.
AI output is not presumed accurate, noninfringing, exclusive, or copyrightable. Commercial publication requires factual and rights review.
When seeking U.S. copyright registration, LSO will identify human authorship and disclose more-than-minimal AI-generated material as required.
Credentials, trade secrets, privileged material, confidential sources, unreleased productions, contracts, private communications, personal or biometric data, information about minors, and client or partner materials may not be entered into an unapproved AI service.
Tools and vendors should be reviewed for security, retention, model-training terms, secondary data use, deletion, provenance support, subcontractors, and incident notification. Inputs should be minimized or anonymized where practical.
Prohibited uses
Fraud, phishing, identity deception, defamation, harassment, threats, discriminatory harm, or disclosure of private information.
Fabricated quotations, sources, evidence, testimonials, reviews, endorsements, audience metrics, followers, or views.
Presenting a synthetic news event, crowd, place, product demonstration, or recording as authentic.
Nonconsensual intimate imagery, child sexual abuse material, or other exploitative synthetic content.
Undisclosed voice or likeness cloning, false sponsorship, circumvention of rights controls, or unreviewed final legal, editorial, employment, or similarly consequential decisions.
Credible reports of synthetic-media misuse, factual error, rights violations, or undisclosed material AI use will be reviewed. Content may be corrected, relabeled, restricted, or removed. Violations may lead to suspended tool access, retraining, contractual remedies, discipline, or legal review.
This policy is a transparency statement, not a warranty that AI-assisted material or detection tools will be error-free. It does not reduce obligations imposed by law, contract, release, or collective-bargaining agreement.
