Position summary

The Advertising Operations Manager will turn approved advertising agreements into organized, accurately delivered campaigns. Reporting to the Director of Advertising Sales, you will coordinate booking details, creative requirements, placement schedules and reporting with sales, distribution and brand teams. You will maintain a clear record of what was sold, what is ready to run and what has been delivered across the supported channels.

This role sits at the point where commercial promises meet operating reality. You will identify missing assets, incompatible specifications or inventory conflicts early and give account teams clear options for resolving them. You will also investigate delivery discrepancies, document corrective action and support any proposed makegood through the appropriate approval process. The aim is dependable execution and transparent advertiser reporting, with consistent attention to brand suitability and editorial boundaries.

Responsibilities

  • Review campaign handoffs for signed terms, placement details, dates, creative requirements and reporting commitments.
  • Coordinate inventory reservations and delivery schedules with the teams responsible for each supported channel.
  • Collect and check creative materials against current specifications, rights information and company approval requirements.
  • Manage campaign setup and trafficking through approved systems, using a documented check before activation.
  • Monitor delivery and pacing, investigate exceptions and communicate material risks to sales and client contacts through the account owner.
  • Reconcile campaign reports with booking records and explain discrepancies, missing data or measurement limitations.
  • Document delivery issues and coordinate approved corrective action or makegood proposals without making unauthorized commercial commitments.
  • Maintain operating procedures, campaign records and recurring quality checks that improve handoffs and reduce errors.

Required qualifications

  • At least four years of advertising operations, campaign management or related media delivery experience.
  • Experience coordinating campaign setup, creative specifications, trafficking and delivery reporting.
  • Ability to identify booking conflicts, pacing issues and discrepancies between agreements and reported delivery.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and disciplined recordkeeping across concurrent campaigns.
  • Clear communication under deadlines and a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with digital video, streaming, television traffic or cross-channel advertising campaigns.
  • Experience working with ad-serving, scheduling or campaign-management systems.
  • Experience developing trafficking checklists, reconciliation processes or advertiser reporting templates.

Measures of success

  • Campaigns begin with complete records, approved creative and verified setup.
  • Delivery risks are identified early enough for informed customer communication and corrective action.
  • Reports reconcile to the campaign agreement and explain material limitations or discrepancies.
  • Recurring operational errors decline through clearer procedures and handoffs.

First 90 days

Review active campaign processes, available inventory records and reporting sources during the first 90 days. Map the handoff from sale to activation and introduce a complete campaign checklist. Coordinate a campaign through setup, monitoring and reconciliation, documenting exceptions along the way. Agree a standard delivery report and a clear escalation process for missing creative, conflicts and underdelivery.

Compensation

Proposed annual base salary of $85,000–$115,000 USD. The final offer will reflect relevant experience, qualifications and the agreed scope of the position, subject to approval. This range covers base pay only; any incentive compensation or benefits would be specified separately in an employment offer.
