Position summary

The Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist will manage the daily flow of invoices and payment records across LSO Media Group. You will help suppliers receive accurate, approved payments and help customers understand their outstanding balances. The position reports to the Financial Controller and works closely with purchasing, sales and business operations.

You will follow transactions from the original approval through posting and reconciliation, catching missing information before it becomes a larger problem. This role requires a professional approach to payment questions, careful verification of record changes and the ability to keep a high volume of small tasks moving without losing the details.

Responsibilities

  • Enter supplier invoices with correct coding, supporting documents and evidence of the required approval.
  • Match invoices to purchase commitments and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal requesters.
  • Prepare payment batches for authorized review and record the resulting payment confirmations.
  • Issue customer invoices from approved commercial records and maintain accurate billing contacts.
  • Apply receipts, reconcile customer balances and follow up on overdue invoices using approved procedures.
  • Maintain aging reports and bring disputed, duplicate or unusual items to the Controller.
  • Verify vendor banking changes through established independent checks before updating payment records.
  • Organize payable and receivable schedules for month-end close and respond to record requests.

Required qualifications

  • Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or a comparable transactional finance role.
  • Ability to work accurately with invoices, payment terms, account coding and reconciliations.
  • Comfortable use of spreadsheets and accounting or billing software.
  • Clear, courteous communication when resolving billing questions and following up on balances.
  • Strong organization and discretion when handling customer, vendor and banking information.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience managing both payable and receivable workflows in a smaller finance team.
  • Familiarity with purchase-order matching or documented vendor onboarding controls.
  • Experience with project billing, recurring invoices or advertising customer accounts.

Measures of success

  • Invoices and receipts are recorded accurately with complete supporting records.
  • Payment batches reach reviewers on time and exceptions are clearly explained.
  • Aging reports reflect current balances and meaningful collection follow-up.
  • Changes to sensitive payment information follow the established verification process.

First 90 days

Learn the invoice, approval and payment workflows with the Controller. Review active vendor and customer records, identify incomplete items and establish an organized exception list. Take ownership of daily processing and aging follow-up, then complete a month-end handoff with reconciled schedules and recommendations for reducing avoidable billing or payment delays.

Compensation

Proposed annual base salary of $55,000–$75,000 USD. The final offer will reflect relevant experience, qualifications and the agreed scope of the position, subject to approval. This range covers base pay only; any incentive compensation or benefits would be specified separately in an employment offer.
